About Walter Handyman LLC
A locally owned fence and handyman company serving the Charleston Lowcountry.
Our Story
Walter Handyman LLC was started by Walter Perez with a simple promise: show up when you say you will, build it right the first time, and treat every property like it's your own. From our base on Kingsworth Avenue in North Charleston, we've grown almost entirely by word of mouth across the Lowcountry.
Fencing is what we're known for — pressure-treated wood privacy fences, picket and decorative styles, powder-coated aluminum, vinyl, and custom-built gates. We also handle repairs, from resetting leaning posts and replacing storm-damaged sections to rebuilding gates that no longer close right.
Beyond fences, the handyman side of the business keeps Charleston homes in shape: carpentry, deck and porch repairs, doors, trim, drywall patching, pressure washing, and general property maintenance. We're open Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 6 PM, and every estimate is free and in writing.
What We Stand For
Reliability
We show up when we say we will, and we finish what we start. No disappearing mid-project.
Respect
Your yard and your neighbors matter. We keep the site clean and haul off every scrap.
Craftsmanship
Posts set in concrete, runs level, gates that swing true. We don't cut corners you can't see.
Community
We're Charleston locals. Most of our work comes from neighbors referring neighbors.
Our Mission
Build fences and make repairs that hold up to Lowcountry weather and years of use. Give honest pricing up front, treat every customer like a neighbor, and earn trust one project at a time.
Our Promise
If something isn't right, we'll come back and fix it. No questions, no excuses. That's how we've built a customer base across Charleston that keeps sending us their friends and neighbors.
